FLOYDADA, TX – After 32 years with the district, Floydada Collegiate High School Principal Dara Ware is retiring.

The Silverton native became a Whirlwind in 1991 as a teacher/coach at Floydada Junior High (FJHS) and became the assistant principal in 2009.

Ware graduated from West Texas A&M University in 1991 and earned her Masters in Administrative Leadership in 2012.

She and her husband, Clinton, have been married for 35 years and have two adult sons (Cody and Clay).

The Floydada School Board accepted her resignation on Thursday evening, along with those of Melva Dorman and Thalia Villa.
