FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Independent School District Board of Trustees is scheduled to hold its regular board meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 7:00 p.m.
According to the posted agenda, trustees will begin the meeting with the call to order, invocation, and Pledge of Allegiance before moving into several items of district business.
One of the featured agenda items includes the swearing in of trustees elected during the May 2, 2026 election, who were elected due to no opposition. The board is also expected to reorganize and elect board officers for the 2026-2027 school year.
Trustees will review and consider approval of several consent agenda items, including the minutes from the April 16 regular meeting, setting the June board meeting date for June 9, 2026, and reviewing payment of April 2026 bills.
Additional business on the agenda includes consideration of an amendment to the 2025-2026 district budget and the superintendent’s report. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for public comments and discussion of future agenda items before adjournment.
