PUEBLO, CO – Former Floydada Whirlwind Luke Holcombe has qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship, which takes place on May 25–27.
Holcombe won the gold medal at the state meet in the shot put event his senior year at Floydada.
Luke, now a sophomore at West Texas A&M University, will represent the university in the shot put event once again.
Holcombe qualified for the national meet ranked 16th with a throw of 17.75 meters.
The shot put event finals will be held on Saturday, May 27th, at 6:05 p.m.
