FLOYDADA, TX – Volunteer firefighters responded to five calls in December, but only three involved actual fire.

First responders arrived to assist EMS at Dollar General following a vehicle driving into the building.

While waiting for Santa to arrive on Christmas Eve, units worked a morning structure fire at an abandoned house on North 4th Street and were called back six hours later because the fire had rekindled.

A grass fire on December 29th would be the final fire of the year (CR202 & US70), while units responded to a CO alarm going off on North 11th on the 30th.
