Lockney ISD Plans Special Ceremony for State Qualifier Daniel Alvarado

LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney ISD will proudly celebrate senior Daniel Alvarado with a special graduation ceremony and state send-off on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Lockney High School Gymnasium, followed immediately by a community send-off honoring his accomplishments and upcoming appearance at the Texas UIL State Track Meet.

Alvarado has earned the opportunity to represent Lockney ISD on the state stage in track and field, competing in the 400-meter run against some of the top athletes in Texas. His dedication, discipline, and hard work throughout the season have made him a standout athlete and a source of pride for the Lockney community.

The special graduation ceremony and send-off will give students, staff, family members, and community supporters the chance to recognize Alvarado’s achievements both in the classroom and on the track. The event will celebrate not only his graduation milestone, but also the honor of advancing to one of the state’s most competitive athletic events.

Lockney ISD encourages the community to attend and show support as Daniel Alvarado prepares to compete at the Texas UIL State Track Meet and represent the Longhorns at the highest level.
