FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Lady Whirlwinds have released their 2026 softball schedule as they prepare for another competitive season on the diamond. The schedule features a strong lineup of non-district opponents, tournament play, and a demanding district schedule that gets underway in mid-March.
The Lady Whirlwinds opened the season with early matchups in February, gaining valuable experience against tough competition. Floydada fell 5–3 to Shallowater and 15–1 to Lubbock on February 7, setting the stage for a challenging but opportunity-filled season ahead.
February and early March will include several non-district games and tournaments, including the South Plains Showdown in Slaton and the Floydada Lady Winds FLiP FM Tournament. These games will give the Lady Whirlwinds a chance to sharpen their skills before entering district play.
District action begins March 17 with a road matchup at Lockney and continues through April, with home-and-away games against Lockney, Clarendon, Quanah, and Memphis. Several key district games will be played at Floydada High School, giving fans plenty of opportunities to support the Lady Whirlwinds at home as postseason positioning comes into focus.
Notable home district dates include matchups against Lockney on April 3, Memphis on April 7, Clarendon on April 14, and Quanah on April 17.
