FLOYDADA, TX – Wanda Williams, age 94, passed away, Thursday, February 5, 2026. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2026 at Carr’s Chapel Cemetery in Floyd County. Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Wanda was Born on March 6, 1930 to Alf and Myrtle Huckabee. She married Edmond Aldine Williams May 28, 1948. They had three children Linda Lee, Sarah LaNell and Edmond Aldine Jr. (Dean). They Enjoyed each others company, traveled. After her husband passed in 1996, She met Cobb Gilly and had 24 years before he passed in 2020. He called her his special date. Wanda was blessed with his two special daughters Barbara Christian and husband Dan Dwelle and Kathy Steger and husband Steve along with their kids and grandkids. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Wanda is survived by daughter, Sarah (Kim) Hinsley and Son-in-Law Michael Hinsley, 6 Hinsley grandchildren, Angie (Tim) Lipham, Amy (Alan) Speyrer, Chad (Kelli) Hinsley, Stacy (Zach) Nutt, Kristy (Kevin) Griffin, Todd (Amanda) Hinsley;12 great-grandchildren, Mason (Erin) Lipham, Haden (Brooklyn) Lipham, Allie and Abbie Speyrer, Hagen and Rilynn Hinsley, Kelsey (Jacob) Woods, Corbin (Bailey) Nutt, Caitlyn And Carson Carroll, Reece and Cooper Hinsley; 10 Great- Great- Grandchildren Monroe (and soon to be new sibling) Lipham, Rowan and Sutton Lipham, Jace Woods, Bailee Griffin, Soren and soon to be new sister Stevie Woods, Gatlin and Staylee Nutt; a brother, James Huckabee of Stephenville.
She was preceded in death by Husband Aldine; daughter, Linda Hinsley and son, Dean Williams, sisters, Lois Karr, Nell Eubanks, Gerthrude Brand, and Neomi Johnston, and One brother, Ernest Huckabee.
