POST, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds traveled on Tuesday to battle the Post Antelopes in their final district game.
The Antelopes jumped out to an early 16-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Post extended their lead to as many as 15 points in the second quarter and went into the locker room for halftime up 29-18.
Floydada found momentum on both ends of the floor in the third quarter and trailed by just three points, 38-35.
The Whirlwinds continued their momentum, but the Antelopes fought back, tying the game at the end of the fourth quarter with a buzzer beater.
In overtime, Floydada controlled the ball and secured the victory over the Antelopes 62-56.
The Whirlwinds finish their basketball season with an 8-20 overall record and 4-8 in district play.
