LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns hosted the Memphis Cyclones on Tuesday in a district battle.
The Longhorns took the lead in the bottom of the second 7-2.
Lockney extended their lead in the bottom half of the third inning to go up 10-2.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Cyclones offense exploded for 14 runs and regained the lead 16-10.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Longhorns looked to rally back but would fall short despite scoring seven runs.
The Cyclones claimed the district victory over the Longhorns 21-19.
With the loss, the Longhorns fall to 7-13 overall and 2-7 in district.
They will host the Floydada Whirlwinds in their final game of the season on Friday.
