
LEVELLAND, TX – Floydada Collegiate ISD is celebrating a major academic achievement as several students have earned their Associate Degrees from South Plains College while still completing their high school education.
The accomplishment highlights the dedication and hard work of FCISD students who balanced college-level coursework alongside their high school responsibilities. Through dual credit and collegiate programming opportunities, these students have already completed a significant portion of their higher education journey before receiving their high school diplomas.

School officials and community members are praising the students for their commitment to academic excellence and for taking advantage of opportunities that help prepare them for future college and career success.
Joshua Stewart’s accomplishment marks a historic milestone for Floydada Collegiate ISD, becoming the first junior in district history to complete an Associate Degree while still classified as a high school junior. His achievement, along with graduating with highest honors, represents an extraordinary level of academic dedication.
The district says these graduates reflect the strong partnership between Floydada Collegiate ISD and South Plains College and demonstrate how collegiate and dual credit programs can help students get a head start on their futures.
