FLOYDADA, TX – Residents have been expressing concerns about overflowing trash from dumpsters around the city, with some containers not seeing service in three weeks.
The City of Floydada contracts trash collection with South Plains Waste Service, Inc. of Olton.
A representative from the company explained that the collection vehicle has been out of service for the past week and also said the city-owned landfill had been closed during that time but believed service would return to normal this week.
