LOCKNEY, TX -The Lockney Longhorns and Lady Horns delivered strong performances at the 2A District 3 and 4 Area Track Meet, earning multiple regional qualifications and representing their school with determination and pride.
Several Lockney athletes secured top finishes to punch their tickets to the next level of competition. Daniel Alvarado earned a second-place finish in the long jump and claimed first place in the 400-meter dash. Logan Rodriguez placed second in the triple jump, while Abry Ascencio finished second in the shot put.
With their outstanding performances, all three athletes will advance to compete at the 2A Region 1 Meet, set to take place May 1-2 at West Texas A&M University.
