Floydada Students Earn Top Finishes at UIL Regional Meet, Advance as State Alternate

FLOYDADA, TX – Floydada ISD students showcased their academic talents at the UIL Regional Meet, earning top placements against some of the best competitors in the region.

Wesley Crowe delivered a strong performance in Number Sense, finishing in 6th place at the regional level. Competing in one of UIL’s most challenging mathematics events, Crowe demonstrated speed and accuracy in mental calculations.

In journalism competition, Tiffiny Perez earned a 4th place finish in News Writing, securing her position as a State Alternate. Perez’s performance places her just one step away from advancing to the UIL State Meet, highlighting her strength in writing, reporting, and journalistic style.

Floydada ISD continues to build a tradition of academic excellence through UIL competition, with students representing their school with pride and dedication.
