FLOYDADA, TX – Community members and visitors alike will have a chance to hit the road for a good cause as a Poker Run fundraiser benefiting Ellie Hanes is set to take place during Old Settlers Day in Floydada.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, with registration running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Participants will begin at 201 E. Missouri Street at Goen & Goen, where riders and drivers will sign up before heading out on the Poker Run route.

The fundraiser welcomes all types of vehicles, making it accessible for a wide range of participants—from motorcycles to classic cars and everyday drivers. Along the route, participants will draw cards at designated stops, building a poker hand for a chance to win prizes, all while supporting Ellie Hanes.

Old Settlers Day, a long-standing Floydada tradition, draws crowds from across the region each year with a variety of activities, entertainment, and community events. The Poker Run adds another opportunity for attendees to get involved while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Organizers encourage the public to come out, participate, and show their support. Whether joining the run or simply attending Old Settlers Day festivities, the event offers a way for the community to rally together and make a difference.
