Floydada, Lockney likely to stay put in 2022 UIL realignment

AUSTIN — Friday, October 29 was Snapshot Day of the Texas UIL biennial realignment process. The realignment, regarding what classifications and divisions that schools will compete in for athletics, music and academics, will be announced in February 2022.

Snapshot Day is the first step of each school reporting their high school enrollment, followed by the UIL releasing the cutoff points in December as to where the classifications will break. Then the announcement of districts where each school will be placed in for the next two years will be in early February 2022.

Here is a look at the Snapshot numbers of special interest to Floydada and Lockney:
