Lockney’s Daniel Alvarado Headed to UIL Texas State Track Meet

LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney High School’s Daniel Alvarado is officially state bound after an outstanding performance at the regional track meet. Alvarado captured 1st place in the 400 and set a new personal record with a blazing time of 49.12 seconds.

His regional championship finish secured him a spot at the UIL Texas State Track & Field Meet in Austin, where he will proudly represent the Lockney High School Longhorns on the biggest stage in Texas high school athletics.

Alvarado’s accomplishment is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and determination throughout the season. Competing against some of the top athletes in the region, he rose to the occasion and delivered when it mattered most.

The Lockney community has plenty to be proud of as Alvarado prepares to take on the best runners in the state. With momentum on his side and a personal best time already under his belt, he will head to Austin ready to compete and represent Lockney with pride.
