FLOYDADA — The Floydada City Council approved its 2025-2026 operating budget, new property tax rate, and other key items during Tuesday night’s regular meeting.
The tax rate was set at $0.3729644 per $100 valuation, and the budget passed unanimously.
Council also approved new landfill tipping fees and accepted a $61,000 roofing bid from Vela Roofing to replace the roof at the Senior Citizens Building.
The council additionally approved participation in the Texas Opioid Abatement Settlement, adopting Resolution 25-2.
