OLTON, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds baseball team traveled to Olton to battle the Mustangs in a non-district game.
The Whirlwinds started the scoring in the top of the first with five runs taking a 5-0 lead.
Floydada continued scoring in the top of the second and third inning, taking the 11-1 lead.
Olton tried to fight back, but the Whirlwinds held off the Mustangs for the 11-5 victory.
Floydada moves to 5-4 overall and will battle in the Ralls tournament beginning on Thursday.
